VR Surgical Challenge – Test Your Precision
The Brief
Teleflex, a global leader in medical technologies, approached NXT Interactive to design an immersive and interactive VR experience that would bring their Weck™ Clip Appliers and Hem-o-lok™ Locking Ligation System to life in a high-impact, educational, and competitive format.
The goal was to create a hands-on surgical challenge that allowed healthcare professionals and event attendees to test their precision, timing, and control using Teleflex’s signature surgical instruments—within a gamified virtual environment.
The challenge needed to strike the right balance between medical authenticity and interactive engagement, giving users a realistic sense of surgical precision while keeping the experience approachable, intuitive, and thrilling.
Our Solution
NXT Interactive developed a custom-built Virtual Reality experience that transformed Teleflex’s surgical instruments into an interactive, skill-based challenge. Using VR motion controllers, participants were invited to “aim and lock” onto designated anatomical hotspots at the Human organs, virtually inside the human body, mimicking the dexterity required in real surgical procedures.
Each round tested users’ accuracy, speed, and timing as they used the Weck™ Clip Appliers and Hem-o-lok™ System to perform virtual ligations and placements under time constraints. With every successful target hit, users earned points that contributed to their overall performance score.
The result was a dynamic and competitive simulation that not only showcased the precision and reliability of Teleflex tools but also turned complex surgical techniques into an engaging and memorable brand experience.

The experience transported users inside the human body, where they could see a highly detailed 3D environment of organs, blood vessels, and nerves in motion.Precision-Based Gameplay

Event Setup
The experience was deployed using high-performance VR headsets and hand controllers, optimized for fluid motion tracking and low latency to ensure smooth, realistic interaction. Each setup included:
VR headset with motion-tracked controllers for full spatial interaction
High-end workstation running the simulation software
4K display screens mirroring live gameplay for audience viewing
Event staff to guide users and manage leaderboard tracking
The modular setup was designed for easy transport, quick assembly, and efficient throughput—ideal for trade shows, conferences, and medical expos.
